LSK price prediction & outlook

LSK is a ten-year-old token in the middle of the strangest month of its life. On August 25, 2026 Lisk announced it would shut down its blockchain on October 31, burn a quarter of the token supply, and rebuild itself as a business-finance software company with LSK as a loyalty token, and the price, which had set an all-time low three weeks earlier, rose roughly tenfold on the news. Roughly 233 million tokens circulate against a 400 million total that is being cut to 300 million, so any target has to account for a supply figure that is still moving. This is not financial advice.

What actually moves the LSK price

The pivot, and whether anyone uses it
Lisk is abandoning its blockchain business, citing "large LSK spendings" and the "ongoing decline of LSK token price" among its reasons, to sell what this page's About text calls "the modern money operations platform for businesses," running accounts, payments, and approvals across fiat and stablecoin rails (TechCabal). The product was in early access at capture. LSK's new role is "Lisk's loyalty token," with businesses earning rewards for using the platform and paying fees in it later; until customers exist, that utility is a plan.
The burn and the treasury
The DAO vote behind the pivot burns 100 million LSK from the treasury, taking total supply from 400 million to 300 million, and moves 47 million to Lisk Ltd, with the Onchain Foundation taking over funding (TechCabal). The burned tokens were never circulating, so the burn cancels future dilution rather than removing float; the 47 million going to the company can eventually be spent.
The October 31 shutdown
Lisk Chain, the Ethereum layer-2 launched in 2024, stops on October 31, 2026, and holders must bridge LSK back to Ethereum before then or lose access, with coverage citing an October 21 cutoff for the bridge (KuCoin). About 76% of the tokens on this Ethereum contract sit in the bridge escrow that backs layer-2 balances, so the unwind is the mechanism by which most of the supply changes hands over the next six weeks.
Exchange risk and exchange volume
Binance placed LSK on its Monitoring Tag on July 24, 2026, a formal delisting-risk warning, and the token fell to its all-time low ten days later (crypto.news). The tag was still in place at capture. At the same time Upbit, Binance, and Bithumb carried hundreds of millions of dollars of daily LSK volume, so Korean and Binance order flow, not on-chain pools, set the price.
The range it has already shown
LSK went from an all-time high of $34.92 on January 6, 2018, when the project was briefly worth about $4 billion, to an all-time low of $0.0703 on August 3, 2026 per CoinGecko, then rose to about $0.75 at capture, a move of roughly 10x in six weeks on binary news. Spikes like that retrace as often as they hold.

What would it take for LSK to reach $X?

With roughly 233 million tokens circulating, a price target maps directly to market cap. The multiples below are computed from the live market cap, so they never go stale. At the post-burn 300 million supply the same prices imply caps about 30% larger.

  • $2.00
    ~$440M cap

  • $4.00

Can LSK reach $2.00?

A price of $2.00 on roughly 233 million circulating tokens implies a market cap near $466 million, about two and a half times the level at capture and a small fraction of what Lisk was worth at its 2018 peak, so the level is not unprecedented. Getting there would take the business-finance product winning paying customers so that LSK rewards mean something, the chain shutdown and bridge unwind passing without a supply dump, and Binance lifting rather than acting on its Monitoring Tag. A token that just rose tenfold on an announcement has more to prove than to gain from the next one. These are conditions, not predictions, and this is not financial advice.

To evaluate any LSK target: multiply it by roughly 233 million tokens, compare the implied market cap to the live figure on this page, and ask whether a pre-revenue fintech pivot supports it. If it doesn't, the prediction doesn't hold.

How to buy Lisk (LSK) in Phantom

LSK lives on Ethereum mainnet, so you need Phantom with the Ethereum network active and ETH for gas; the whole flow takes a few minutes. Two things differ from the Solana tokens on this site: Ethereum gas is priced in dollars rather than cents, and almost all LSK volume trades on centralized exchanges, so on-chain pools are shallow.

  1. Install Phantom and secure your wallet
Download Phantom as a mobile app (iOS or Android) or browser extension and create or import a wallet. Write your Secret Recovery Phrase on paper and store it offline; anyone who obtains it controls every asset in the wallet, and Phantom will never ask for it.
  2. Fund your wallet with ETH on Ethereum
Gas on Ethereum is paid in ETH, not in LSK and not in SOL. Buy ETH inside Phantom with a card or bank transfer, or withdraw ETH from an exchange to your Ethereum address. A mainnet swap can cost from under a dollar to several dollars in gas depending on congestion, and Phantom shows the estimate before you confirm.
  3. Paste the contract address, and confirm the chain
In the Swap tab on Ethereum, paste the full contract address as the receive token and confirm the ticker reads LSK on Ethereum. LSK also exists on Base and, until October 31, 2026, on the Lisk layer-2 at a different address, so the chain and the address matter more than the name.
  4. Check price impact, then confirm
The deepest Ethereum pool held only about $440,000 of liquidity at capture against a market cap near $177 million, so even a modest order can move the on-chain price, and the Base pool was thinner still and priced several percent lower. Review the estimated output and price impact; if the impact is large, split the order or reconsider. Confirm, and LSK appears in your wallet once Ethereum confirms.

Always verify the contract address

0x6033f7f88332b8db6ad452b7c6d5bb643990ae3f

The legitimate Ethereum contract address is the one shown on this page, the ERC-20 that LSK migrated to in May 2024. Cross-reference it against Etherscan or the CoinGecko listing rather than search results or social posts. The official channels are lisk.com and @Lisk on X; treat any DM or "support" account as hostile, especially ones offering to help you "migrate" tokens before the shutdown. If the address does not match exactly, stop.

What buying LSK actually costs

Ethereum gas is the first real cost and can exceed the swap fee on a small order; the second is price impact, because on-chain LSK pools are shallow compared with the Upbit, Binance, and Bithumb order books where most volume trades. Holding LSK in Phantom earns nothing by itself; the loyalty rewards Lisk describes are for businesses using its platform, not for wallet holders, and the old staking program's unstaking penalty has been removed as the chain winds down.

What is Lisk?

Lisk is the modern money operations platform for businesses. Finance and operations teams use Lisk to run accounts, payments, and approvals in one workspace, moving money across fiat and stablecoin rails. Lisk is built for companies that operate across borders, entities, and currencies, replacing the patchwork of tools they use today with a single platform for everyday business finance. LSK is Lisk's loyalty token. It lives on Ethereum. Over time, businesses will earn rewards for running their money operations on Lisk and for referring other companies, with additional LSK utility rolling out in phases. Live since 2016, Lisk is one of the longest-running projects in the industry. Today that experience goes into a focused mission: making business finance work the way modern companies do.

Lisk launched in 2016 as a platform for building blockchains in JavaScript, one of the earliest and, at its January 2018 peak, one of the most valuable projects in crypto at about $4 billion (Yahoo Finance). It never found lasting adoption. In May 2024 the project abandoned its own chain, converted LSK one-for-one into this Ethereum ERC-20 (Lisk), and relaunched as an Ethereum layer-2 on the OP Stack, aimed at emerging markets. That reboot lasted just over two years. On August 25, 2026 Lisk announced the chain would shut down on October 31, citing heavy LSK spending, the token's falling price, and fragmentation across too many stakeholders, and said the company would instead sell a business-finance product: accounts, payments, and approvals in one workspace, moving money across fiat and stablecoin rails (TechCabal). Co-founder Max Kordek, who returned as chief executive in December 2025, leads the pivot, with co-founder Oliver Beddows as chief strategy officer; the Lisk Foundation has become the Onchain Foundation, which funds the company and ran a $1 million LSK buyback from August 3, 2026.

This page's About text already reflects the new positioning: "LSK is Lisk's loyalty token. It lives on Base and Ethereum, with Base as its primary Layer 2 network," with businesses to "earn rewards for running their money operations on Lisk and for referring other companies." That is the plan; the product was in early access at capture and the rewards program had not started. The token's supply is changing with it: a DAO vote burns 100 million LSK from the treasury, cutting total supply from 400 million to 300 million, and moves 47 million to Lisk Ltd, with the burn reported as under way in mid-September (CoinGabbar). About 233 million tokens circulated per CoinGecko at capture, and roughly 76% of the tokens on this contract sat in the bridge escrow that backs balances on the soon-to-close layer-2 per Etherscan. The price went from an all-time high of $34.92 on January 6, 2018 to an all-time low of $0.0703 on August 3, 2026 per CoinGecko, ten days after Binance put the token on its Monitoring Tag, then rose roughly tenfold after the pivot announcement to about $0.75 at capture, with most of its $3.6 million of on-chain daily volume dwarfed by exchange trading on Upbit, Binance, and Bithumb.

Is LSK safe?

For a decade-old token in the middle of a corporate restructuring, safety comes down to three checks and one mindset.

The contract reads clean
The Ethereum token is a verified, non-upgradeable ERC-20 with no mint function, no pause, no blacklist, and no tax per a GoPlus scan, and its supply can only fall from here. The mechanics are safe; the business is what changed.
The shutdown unwind
Tokens still on the Lisk layer-2 must be bridged back to Ethereum before the chain closes on October 31, 2026, or they become inaccessible. That is a deadline for holders on the layer-2, and it also means the escrow holding most of this contract's supply will drain into wallets and exchanges over a few weeks, which is supply that can be sold.
Exchange and liquidity risk
Binance's Monitoring Tag was live at capture and is the formal step before a delisting review; a delisting would remove one of the token's three largest venues. On-chain, the Uniswap V4 pool held about $440,000, so a Phantom swap of real size fills far from exchange prices, and the Base pool traded about 9% below Ethereum at capture.
A pre-revenue pivot
LSK's future utility depends on a business-finance product with no public customers yet, run by a team that has now restarted the project twice. Price the token as an option on that outcome, not as a claim on it.

The mindset: a tenfold move in six weeks on a shutdown announcement is not a trend. Size any position for it to reverse. Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase, and treat unsolicited DMs about migration help, airdrops, or support as theft attempts.

LSK can be bought and traded on a variety of cryptocurrency platforms, including Phantom!

Lisk is a project that launched in 2016 as a JavaScript blockchain platform, relaunched in 2024 as an Ethereum layer-2, and announced in August 2026 that it will shut down that chain on October 31, 2026 to become a business-finance software company. LSK is its token, now described as a loyalty token that businesses will earn for using Lisk's money-operations platform; it is an Ethereum ERC-20 with a total supply being cut from 400 million to 300 million and about 233 million circulating. The verified Ethereum contract address is the one shown on this page.

LSK is a real, decade-old token listed on Upbit, Binance, Bithumb, and Kraken with a clean, non-upgradeable contract, but it carries unusual risks at capture: its blockchain shuts down on October 31, 2026, its new utility depends on a business-finance product with no public customers yet, Binance has it under a delisting-risk Monitoring Tag, on-chain liquidity is thin, and the price rose roughly tenfold in six weeks on the shutdown news. Only use funds you can afford to lose. This is not financial advice.

Download Phantom as a mobile app or browser extension, switch to the Ethereum network, and fund your wallet with ETH for gas. Open the Swap tab, paste the contract address shown on this page as the token to receive instead of searching by name, and confirm the ticker reads LSK on Ethereum. Review the estimated output, gas, and price impact, which can be large on a pool this small, then confirm; LSK lands in your wallet once Ethereum confirms.

Yes. Gas on Ethereum mainnet is paid in ETH, so you need ETH in your Phantom wallet on the Ethereum network before you can swap. Mainnet gas runs from under a dollar to several dollars per transaction depending on congestion, so keep a larger buffer than you would on Solana or Base. You can buy ETH inside Phantom with a card or bank transfer or withdraw it from an exchange.

Max Kordek and Oliver Beddows founded Lisk in 2016 as a fork of Crypti, raising its initial funding through a token sale that year. Both stepped back and then returned in December 2025, Kordek as chief executive and Beddows as chief strategy officer, and they are leading the 2026 pivot from a blockchain to a business-finance platform. The Swiss Lisk Foundation, now the Onchain Foundation, funds the company, and the Lisk DAO that governed the layer-2 is being dissolved.

A price of $2.00 on roughly 233 million circulating tokens implies a market cap near $466 million, about two and a half times the level at capture in September 2026 and far below the roughly $4 billion Lisk was worth at its January 2018 peak. Reaching it would take the business-finance product winning paying customers, the chain shutdown passing without a supply dump, and Binance lifting its Monitoring Tag. This is not a prediction or financial advice.

It is a token whose project is leaving crypto infrastructure altogether: after ten years and two chain reboots, Lisk is closing its blockchain and keeping LSK only as a loyalty and fee token for a business-finance software product, backed by a 100 million token burn. Most Ethereum tokens are bets on a protocol; LSK is now a bet on a software company's pivot, with the added wrinkle that the shutdown itself moves most of the token's supply in the weeks after capture.
