JTO price prediction & outlook
JTO is the governance token of Jito, the protocol behind Solana's dominant MEV infrastructure and its largest liquid staking token, so its price has real cash flows somewhere behind it: block engine fees now route to the DAO, and since July 2026 fees from Jito Labs' JTX trading platform buy JTO on the open market and burn it. About 524 million tokens circulate against roughly 987 million total, so nearly half the supply is still locked or held by the DAO, which matters for any target. This is not financial advice.
What actually moves the JTO price
- Fees that now reach the DAO
- Jito's block engine takes a cut of the MEV tips validators earn, and JIP-24, passed in August 2025, routed all of that fee, previously split between Jito Labs and the DAO, plus all future fees from BAM, the Block Assembly Marketplace, into the DAO treasury (Jito forum, CoinDesk). More Solana activity means more tips, more fees, and a larger treasury; the DAO's treasury reached $164.7 million at the end of Q2 2026, though most of that growth was JTO's own price rising rather than earned revenue, which fell 45% in the quarter to $12.8 million (Solana Compass).
- The JIP-38 buyback and burn
- On July 13, 2026 holders passed JIP-38, committing the DAO's share of JTX fees to on-chain buybacks and burns through at least Q4 2027, and JTX opened to its first 1,000 users the next day (Solana Compass). The supply on-chain reads 986.52 million against the 1 billion minted, so burns have started; how much bid they add depends on how much a trading platform for professionals earns.
- Unlocks and the DAO's own holdings
- Only about 53% of supply circulates. Investor and contributor allocations vest over three years from the December 2023 launch, unlocks were still landing in September 2026, and the DAO holds a large JTO balance; RugCheck shows the largest wallet at about 21% of supply (RugCheck). Each release is supply that has to be absorbed.
- BAM and the staking business
- JitoSOL held about $1.2 billion of TVL per DefiLlama at capture, while competitors Sanctum and Marinade have been taking liquid staking share, and BAM, Jito's encrypted-mempool block builder, reached about a third of Solana stake in 2026 with preconfirmations launched on September 9 (KuCoin). Jito's value scales with how much of Solana's block production and staking it touches.
- The range it has already shown
- JTO set its all-time high of $6.01 on December 7, 2023, the day of its airdrop, and its all-time low of $0.218 on February 5, 2026 per CoinGecko; at about $0.52 at capture it was 91% below the high and more than double the low. The token has never traded above its launch-day price.
What would it take for JTO to reach $X?
With roughly 524 million tokens circulating, a price target maps directly to market cap. The multiples below are computed from the live market cap, so they never go stale.
- $1.00~$540M cap2.9x
- $2.00~$1.1B cap5.8x
- $4.00~$2.2B cap12x
Can JTO reach $2.00?
A price of $2.00 on roughly 524 million circulating tokens implies a market cap near $1 billion, about 3.8 times the level at capture and still a third below the launch-day peak, with a fully diluted value near $2 billion once locked tokens are counted. That would take Solana activity lifting block engine fees, JTX earning enough to make the JIP-38 burns visible, and JitoSOL holding its share against Sanctum and Marinade while unlocks keep landing. These are conditions, not predictions, and this is not financial advice.
To evaluate any JTO target: multiply it by roughly 524 million tokens, compare the implied market cap to the live figure on this page and to the treasury and fee numbers Jito publishes, and remember that nearly half the supply has yet to circulate. If it doesn't, the prediction doesn't hold.
How to buy Jito (JTO) in Phantom
Buying JTO takes a few minutes once your Phantom wallet holds SOL. The token is listed on Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, OKX, Bybit, and Korea's Upbit and Bithumb, and trades in Orca, Raydium, and Meteora pools on Solana, so on-chain swaps fill against years of depth.
- Install Phantom and secure your walletDownload Phantom as a mobile app (iOS or Android) or browser extension and create or import a wallet. Write your Secret Recovery Phrase on paper and store it offline; anyone who obtains it controls every asset in the wallet, and Phantom will never ask for it.
- Fund your wallet with SOLSOL pays the network fee, which runs fractions of a cent, and is the simplest asset to swap from. Buy SOL inside Phantom with a card or bank transfer, or send it from an exchange, and keep a small balance in reserve for future transactions.
- Paste the mint address, not the nameIn the Swap tab, paste the full mint address as the receive token and confirm the ticker reads JTO on Solana. JTO is not JitoSOL: the staking token is a different mint with a different price, and copycat "Jito" tokens exist.
- Review the quote and confirmThe main Orca JTO pool held about $1.4 million of liquidity at capture and a Raydium pool carried most of the on-chain volume, so price impact is small for ordinary orders. Review the estimated output, confirm, and JTO lands in your wallet once Solana confirms.
Always verify the mint address
The legitimate mint address is the one shown on this page. Cross-reference it against the CoinGecko listing or Solscan rather than search results or social posts. The official channels are jito.network and @jito_sol on X; Jito will never DM you about an airdrop or ask for your Secret Recovery Phrase. If the address does not match exactly, stop.
What buying JTO actually costs
Solana network fees are a fraction of a cent, so the real costs are the swap fee disclosed in Phantom's quote and any small price impact. Holding JTO in Phantom gives you a vote in Jito DAO governance and exposure to the JIP-38 burns, but no direct payout: the DAO treasury and block engine fees belong to the DAO, and JitoSOL, not JTO, is the token that earns staking yield.

What is JITO?
Jito (JTO) is, as this page's About text says, "the official governance token for the Jito Network," the Solana protocol that turned MEV, the value extracted from ordering transactions inside blocks, into infrastructure. Jito's modified validator client runs auctions for transaction bundles inside each block and shares the tips with stakers, and JitoSOL, its liquid staking token, was the first to pass that MEV income through to holders, with about $1.2 billion of TVL per DefiLlama at capture. Three entities share the name: Jito Labs, the for-profit builder of the block engine, the BAM block builder, and the JTX trading platform; the Jito Foundation, a Cayman Islands entity that holds the trademarks and runs jito.network; and the Jito DAO, which JTO holders govern and which has no formal control over Jito Labs (Blockworks). JTO launched on December 7, 2023 with an airdrop of 100 million tokens, 10% of supply, to JitoSOL holders, validators, and searchers, worth about $200 million at that day's price (The Defiant), and Binance listed it the same day (Binance). That day's $6.01 remains the all-time high.
The protocol's history since then is a series of governance decisions about who gets the money. In March 2024, at the height of Solana's memecoin frenzy, Jito Labs shut down its public mempool because it was feeding sandwich attacks on traders, giving up an estimated 10,000 SOL a day in tips for network health (CoinDesk). In 2025 the SEC's guidance that liquid staking does not require securities registration named Jito directly, and JIP-24 sent all block engine fees to the DAO. In September 2025 BAM reached mainnet with an encrypted mempool designed to make sandwiching impossible, and by mid-2026 it ran about a third of Solana's stake. On July 13, 2026 JIP-38 committed JTX fees to buying and burning JTO through at least Q4 2027, which is why the supply on-chain reads 986.52 million rather than 1 billion. At capture JTO traded near $0.52, a market cap of about $273 million on 524 million circulating tokens, with the page counting about 89,000 holders and RugCheck about 247,000, a gap that reflects different counting methods, and the largest on-chain pool on Orca holding about $1.4 million per CoinGecko and DexScreener.
Is JTO safe?
For a three-year-old governance token behind Solana's core MEV infrastructure, safety comes down to three checks and one mindset.
- Authorities and supply
- The JTO mint has no mint authority and no freeze authority, so supply is capped and no one can freeze wallets. The token metadata is still mutable and RugCheck flags one wallet at about 21% of supply, which for a DAO-governed token is most likely treasury or vesting rather than a trader, but the wallets are unlabeled.
- Unlocks and governance
- Nearly half the supply has yet to circulate, and the fee routing and burns that give JTO its value are DAO votes that can be revised; the JIP-38 program has a stated window through Q4 2027, not a permanent guarantee.
- Competition and revenue
- JitoSOL is losing liquid staking share to Sanctum and Marinade, protocol revenue fell 45% in Q2 2026, and the treasury's growth came mostly from JTO's own price. A lawsuit filed in 2025 naming Jito alongside pump.fun and Solana had no reported outcome at capture.
The mindset: JTO is a leveraged bet on Solana block-space and staking economics, run through governance. Read the proposals before you rely on the burns, verify the mint every time, and never share your Secret Recovery Phrase.

JTO can be bought and traded on a variety of cryptocurrency platforms, including Phantom!
JTO is the governance token of the Jito Network, the Solana protocol that runs the dominant MEV block engine, the JitoSOL liquid staking token, the BAM block builder, and the JTX trading platform. Launched by airdrop on December 7, 2023, it gives holders a vote in the Jito DAO, which receives the block engine fees and directs the JIP-38 buyback and burn. About 524 million of roughly 987 million tokens circulate, and the verified mint address is the one shown on this page.
JTO is one of Solana's most established tokens, listed on Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, and OKX, with a mint that has no mint or freeze authority and a protocol that touches most of Solana's block production. The risks are economic: the price is 91% below its launch-day high, nearly half the supply is still locked, the burns depend on DAO votes and JTX revenue, and JitoSOL is losing staking share to competitors. Only use funds you can afford to lose. This is not financial advice.
Download Phantom as a mobile app or browser extension and fund it with SOL. Open the Swap tab, paste the mint address shown on this page as the token to receive instead of searching by name, and confirm the ticker reads JTO rather than JitoSOL. Review the estimated output and price impact, then confirm; JTO lands in your wallet once Solana confirms.
Yes. Every Solana transaction, including the swap into JTO, is paid in SOL, and Phantom needs a small SOL balance to cover network fees. The fees are a fraction of a cent, so a few dollars of SOL covers many trades. You can buy SOL inside Phantom or withdraw it from an exchange to your wallet.
Jito Labs, co-founded by Lucas Bruder, built the Jito-Solana validator client, the block engine, and JitoSOL, and later BAM and JTX. The token was launched in December 2023 through the Jito Foundation, a Cayman Islands entity that supports the Jito DAO, which JTO holders govern; the DAO has no formal control over Jito Labs, and Jito Labs' revenue is separate from the DAO treasury.
A price of $2.00 on roughly 524 million circulating tokens implies a market cap near $1 billion, about 3.8 times the level at capture in September 2026 and still below the December 2023 peak of $6.01. It would take rising Solana activity feeding block engine fees, JTX revenue making the JIP-38 burns significant, and JitoSOL holding its share while unlocks continue. This is not a prediction or financial advice.
Most Solana tokens are bets on attention; JTO is a claim on governance of the infrastructure that orders Solana's blocks. Jito's client runs the MEV auctions, JitoSOL passes the tips to stakers, BAM builds a third of the chain's blocks, and since 2026 the DAO receives the fees and burns JTO with JTX revenue. The trade-off is that the token's value is decided by governance votes and Solana's activity rather than by anything a holder can redeem.
