MORPHO price prediction & outlook

MORPHO is the governance token of one of the largest lending protocols in crypto, so its price has something real behind it: how much capital Morpho's markets and vaults attract, how much of that turns into revenue, and whether governance ever routes that revenue to the token. Roughly 689 million tokens circulate against a fixed maximum of 1 billion, and the gap is mostly allocations still vesting, which matters for any target. This is not financial advice.

What actually moves the MORPHO price

Deposits, loans, and who brings them
Morpho's vaults held more than $8 billion in total value locked by mid-2026, and outstanding loans across the protocol reached a record $5 billion in the same period (Cryptopolitan). The growth engine is distribution: Coinbase's crypto-backed loans run on Morpho, with more than $1.6 billion of collateral by April 2026, and on September 15, 2026 Coinbase and Morpho extended USDC lending to Brazil and Canada (TronWeekly). More integrations of that kind mean more fees flowing through the protocol.
Whether value reaches the token
MORPHO is a governance token with weighted voting; it does not automatically collect protocol fees. Morpho's markets carry a fee switch that governance controls, so the token's link to revenue is a policy decision holders can watch and vote on, not a built-in yield (Morpho docs).
Vesting and unlocks
Of the 1 billion maximum supply, 35.4% sits with governance, 27.5% went to strategic partners, 15.2% to founders, and the rest to the Morpho Association, contributors, and early users per the docs. The founders' allocation was relocked to vest linearly through May 17, 2028, and the latest strategic-partner cohort vests through November 21, 2027, so new supply reaches the market on a schedule for another two years.
Competition with Aave and the rate cycle
Morpho's loan book has been closing the gap on Aave, the sector's largest lender. Its share of on-chain credit, and the level of stablecoin borrowing demand that rises and falls with the wider market, drive the revenue picture behind the token.
The range it has already shown
MORPHO went from an all-time low of $0.71 on November 24, 2024, days after it became transferable, to an all-time high of $4.17 on January 17, 2025 per CoinGecko, and traded about half that peak at capture even as the protocol's deposits kept growing. Token price and protocol traction have not moved together.

What would it take for MORPHO to reach $X?

With roughly 689 million tokens circulating, a price target maps directly to market cap. The multiples below are computed from the live market cap, so they never go stale. At the full 1 billion supply the same prices imply caps about 45% higher.

Can MORPHO reach $7.50?

A price of $7.50 on roughly 689 million circulating tokens implies a market cap near $5.2 billion, close to four times the level at capture and nearly double the January 2025 all-time high. That is a valuation in the range of the largest DeFi protocols, so it would take Morpho's loan book continuing to grow through distribution deals like Coinbase's, governance deciding to route protocol revenue to the token, and a market that pays up for DeFi revenue, all while vesting adds supply. None of that is impossible; none of it is priced in. These are conditions, not predictions, and this is not financial advice.

To evaluate any MORPHO target: multiply it by roughly 689 million tokens, compare the implied market cap to the live figure on this page, and ask whether the protocol's revenue and the token's claim on it support that number. If they don't, the prediction doesn't hold.

How to buy Morpho (MORPHO) in Phantom

MORPHO lives on Ethereum mainnet, so you need Phantom with the Ethereum network active and ETH for gas; the whole flow takes a few minutes. Unlike the Solana and Base tokens on this site, Ethereum gas is priced in dollars rather than cents, and most MORPHO volume trades on centralized exchanges rather than on-chain, both of which change how you should size an order.

  1. Install Phantom and secure your wallet
Download Phantom as a mobile app (iOS or Android) or browser extension and create or import a wallet. Write your Secret Recovery Phrase on paper and store it offline; anyone who obtains it controls every asset in the wallet, and Phantom will never ask for it.
  2. Fund your wallet with ETH on Ethereum
Gas on Ethereum is paid in ETH, not in MORPHO and not in SOL. Buy ETH inside Phantom with a card or bank transfer, or withdraw ETH from an exchange to your Ethereum address. Budget for gas: a mainnet swap can cost from under a dollar to several dollars depending on network congestion, and Phantom shows the estimate before you confirm.
  3. Paste the contract address, and confirm the chain
In the Swap tab on Ethereum, paste the full contract address as the receive token and confirm the ticker reads MORPHO on Ethereum. Morpho also has a legacy non-transferable token and deployments on Base and other chains, so the address matters more than the name.
  4. Check price impact, then confirm
On-chain MORPHO liquidity is thin relative to its market cap, with the deepest Ethereum pool holding well under $1 million at capture and daily on-chain volume in the tens of thousands of dollars. Review the estimated output and price impact carefully; if the impact is large, split the order or reconsider. Confirm, and MORPHO appears in your wallet once Ethereum confirms.

Always verify the contract address

The legitimate Ethereum contract address is the one shown on this page, the wrapped, transferable MORPHO token. Cross-reference it against Etherscan or the CoinGecko listing rather than search results or social posts. The official channels are morpho.org and @MorphoLabs on X; treat any DM or "support" account as hostile. If the address does not match exactly, stop.

What buying MORPHO actually costs

Ethereum gas is the first real cost and can exceed the swap fee on a small order; the second is price impact, because on-chain pools are shallow compared with the exchange order books where most MORPHO trades. Holding MORPHO in Phantom earns nothing by itself; the token confers voting power in Morpho governance, and any future revenue share would be a governance decision, not an existing feature.

MORPHO is a DeFi governance token with vesting supply still unlocking and a price that has already halved from its 2025 peak while the protocol grew. Only use funds you can afford to lose. Nothing here is financial advice.

What is Morpho?

Morpho is an open, efficient, and resilient platform that allows anyone to earn yield and borrow assets. Lenders can earn on Morpho using Morpho Vaults, noncustodial simple to use lending vaults that optimize yields for depositors. Borrowers can borrow any assets directly from Morpho Markets. At the same time, developers or businesses can create markets, curate vaults, and build a range of applications on its flexible, permissionless infrastructure. Morpho is really trustless, with immutable contracts, and governance minimized operations allowed by its simplicity. Morpho is efficient, it provides higher collateralization factors with its isolated lending markets, Improved interest rates and low gas consumption. Morpho is flexible with its permissionless market creation, permissionless risk management and has been designed to be developer-friendly.

Morpho is a lending protocol on Ethereum and Base that describes itself as "an open, efficient, and resilient platform that allows anyone to earn yield and borrow assets." Its design separates two layers: Morpho Markets, minimal and immutable lending markets that pair one collateral asset with one loan asset, and Morpho Vaults, curated deposit vaults that spread lenders' funds across those markets to earn yield. Anyone can create a market or curate a vault, which is how the protocol became infrastructure for other companies rather than a single app. Coinbase's crypto-backed loans and its USDC lending product run on Morpho, and by April 2026 those loans had more than $1.6 billion of collateral behind them (TronWeekly). Vault deposits passed $8 billion and outstanding loans hit a record $5 billion in 2026 (Cryptopolitan). The protocol is developed by Morpho Labs, the Paris-based team co-founded by chief executive Paul Frambot in 2021 (Wikipedia), and stewarded by the non-profit Morpho Association.

MORPHO is the protocol's governance token, with a maximum supply of 1 billion and weighted voting where tokens held equal voting power (Morpho docs). It launched non-transferable in 2022 so the protocol could grow before a token market existed, and governance enabled transfers on November 21, 2024 through a wrapped version of the token; the wrapped contract is the one this page tracks and the only transferable MORPHO. The docs put 35.4% of supply with governance, 27.5% with strategic partners, 15.2% with founders, 6.3% with the Morpho Association, and the remainder with contributors and early users, with founder tokens relocked to vest through May 17, 2028. Roughly 689 million tokens circulated at capture. The token went from an all-time low of $0.71 in November 2024 to an all-time high of $4.17 on January 17, 2025 per CoinGecko, and traded around $2 at capture.

Is MORPHO safe?

For an established DeFi token with real usage behind it, safety comes down to three checks and one mindset.

Protocol risk is not token risk
Morpho's core markets are immutable contracts with no admin upgrade path, which is a strength, but vaults are curated by third parties and each carries its own risk of bad collateral or a bad curator. A vault loss would hit lenders first and the token second, through reputation.
The token contract is upgradeable
The wrapped MORPHO token that trades is a proxy contract per a GoPlus scan, meaning its code can be changed by whoever controls the proxy, which for Morpho is governance. That is normal for a governance-minted token, and different from a memecoin with a renounced mint, but worth knowing.
Supply and concentration
About 31% of the maximum supply had not yet reached circulation at capture, and one contract address held roughly 39% of the wrapped supply per GoPlus, consistent with treasury and vesting balances. Check Etherscan before assuming that is a problem, but expect scheduled selling pressure through 2028.

The mindset: MORPHO fell about half from its 2025 peak while the protocol doubled its loan book. Size any position for that kind of disconnect between token and product. Never share your Secret Recovery Phrase, and treat unsolicited DMs about airdrops or support as theft attempts.

MORPHO can be bought and traded on a variety of cryptocurrency platforms, including Phantom!

Morpho is a lending protocol on Ethereum and Base where anyone can create isolated lending markets or curate deposit vaults that earn yield across them; Coinbase's crypto-backed loans and USDC lending run on it, and its vaults held more than $8 billion by 2026. MORPHO is the protocol's governance token, with a maximum supply of 1 billion, about 689 million circulating, and weighted voting. The verified Ethereum contract address is the one shown on this page.

MORPHO is a widely listed governance token behind one of DeFi's largest lending protocols, but it carries real risks: about 31% of supply is still vesting through 2028, the token itself does not collect protocol revenue unless governance decides otherwise, on-chain liquidity is thin compared with exchange order books, and the price fell about half from its January 2025 peak while the protocol kept growing. Only use funds you can afford to lose. This is not financial advice.

Download Phantom as a mobile app or browser extension, switch to the Ethereum network, and fund your wallet with ETH for gas. Open the Swap tab, paste the contract address shown on this page as the token to receive instead of searching by name, and confirm the ticker reads MORPHO on Ethereum. Review the estimated output, gas, and price impact, then confirm; MORPHO lands in your wallet once Ethereum confirms.

Yes. Gas on Ethereum mainnet is paid in ETH, so you need ETH in your Phantom wallet on the Ethereum network before you can swap. Mainnet gas runs from under a dollar to several dollars per transaction depending on congestion, so keep more of a buffer than you would on Solana or Base. You can buy ETH inside Phantom with a card or bank transfer or withdraw it from an exchange.

Morpho Labs, a Paris-based company co-founded in 2021 by chief executive Paul Frambot, built and launched the protocol in 2022, and the non-profit Morpho Association now stewards it and holds a 6.3% token allocation for ecosystem development. The MORPHO token launched non-transferable that year and governance enabled transfers on November 21, 2024. The founders hold 15.2% of supply on a vesting schedule that runs through May 17, 2028, per the project's documentation.

A price of $7.50 on roughly 689 million circulating tokens implies a market cap near $5.2 billion, close to four times the level at capture in September 2026 and nearly double the $4.17 all-time high from January 2025. Reaching it would take the protocol's loan book continuing to grow through integrations like Coinbase's, governance routing revenue to the token, and a market that rewards DeFi revenue while vesting adds supply. This is not a prediction or financial advice.

It is a governance token over lending infrastructure that other companies build on, rather than a single app or a meme: Coinbase, exchanges, and vault curators route billions of dollars through Morpho's immutable markets. That gives MORPHO a measurable protocol behind it, but the token's own claim on that activity is a governance choice rather than a built-in yield, which is the trade-off to understand before buying.
