Phantom Prediction Markets Disclosures

Prediction Markets on Phantom. Prediction Markets are information aggregation mechanisms that allow participants to trade on the outcomes of future events. Prediction Markets on Phantom are powered by Kalshi via DFlow. DFlow is the issuer of tokenized event contracts and provides the infrastructure needed to execute and settle orders. To redeem payouts, participants must trade their expired outcome token for the stablecoin used to open their position. Participants will be provided a quote for the settlement trade, which may differ from the original contract price. Settlement may be impacted by factors other than the outcome of the event, such as market movement and related conditions or inaccurate data.

Each contract relates to a market, which operates under its own set of rules documented on the market page. These rules explain the criteria and procedures that determine the market’s functionality. Participants engage in skill-based forecasting and analysis rather than games of chance.

Phantom does not offer gambling, gaming, or games of chance. All markets are based on real-world events with objectively determinable outcomes. Phantom does not operate as a house, take positions against users, or maintain a house edge. All transactions occur peer-to-peer between users. Phantom does not take custody of your funds or the tokenized prediction market positions.

Prediction Markets on Phantom are only available to users in certain jurisdictions. Users participate at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring their participation complies with applicable laws in their jurisdiction.

Trading Risk. Trading event contracts involves substantial risk of loss and may result in the loss of your entire investment. Event contract trading may not be suitable for all users. You acknowledge and accept full responsibility for all risks associated with trading event contracts.

Market resolution depends on external data sources, including Kalshi’s database and DFlow’s integration and reindexing of Kalshi’s database. Indexing or sourcing failures, data manipulation, delayed data feeds, or incorrect information could result in improper market resolution, disputed outcomes, or financial losses. Phantom cannot guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or reliability of external data sources used for market resolution.

Prohibited Conduct. You may not trade any event contract if you have access to information that is not yet available to the general public and that a reasonable person would likely consider important in making a trading decision and that may give you an advantage in predicting the outcome of an event. This includes information obtained through privileged access, confidential sources, or advance knowledge of events that could affect market resolution.

Users with potential conflicts of interest or special knowledge regarding market outcomes must refrain from participation. For instance, if you work in an industry or at an institution where you may have advanced knowledge of information that would determine the outcome of an event contract, you likely would be prohibited from trading that specific contract.

Some event contracts may have specific additional trading prohibitions, the details of which will be provided on the event contract details page. Prohibitions will vary depending on the type of event contract (e.g., political, economic, cultural, or other category). In participating in trading an event contract, you agree that you are not prohibited from trading the specified event contract.

For example, you may not trade a sports-related event contract if you are a player, coach, employee, or staff of the league, association, or organization governing the event (”Related Person”) or an immediate family member or household member of a Related Person.
