We're pleased to share that Alvin Hsia, Emily Hsia, and Aris Samad are joining Phantom. They start with us this week.
Alvin, Emily, and Aris are among the most respected builders in perpetual futures ("perps"). Together they created Ventuals, one of the most sophisticated trading products built on Hyperliquid, which grew to more than $1B in annualized trading volume. Their backgrounds span Airbnb, Brex, and Paradigm. They are exactly the kind of senior, experienced builders we want at Phantom, and they're joining our trading and data teams.
Over the past year, Phantom became the largest distribution partner in the Hyperliquid ecosystem, and open markets have become a major focus for us. We've gone deep on perps, and we intend to go deeper. Hyperliquid is one of the best examples anywhere of what open markets make possible: deep, global liquidity and transparent onchain infrastructure that the whole industry is converging on. It's an ecosystem we're proud to be part of, and want to help grow. Bringing on people who built at the frontier of open perps, on Hyperliquid itself, is how we accelerate that work.
Our ambition is bigger than any single product: we want to connect the world to the freedom of open markets, and we believe open networks will beat closed systems because builders, liquidity, and people can connect without permission. We’re redefining what a wallet can be by giving consumers the best trading experience anywhere, built on open networks where markets are global, real-time, and open to everyone. That conviction is what continues to drive Phantom's evolution, and adding builders of this caliber moves us closer to it, faster.
We look forward to welcoming Alvin, Emily, and Aris to Phantom. If you’re excited by our mission and want to work alongside top talent like the Ventuals team, we’re hiring!
